The site forms part of a wider area that undergoing change, with the intended opening of a new Harris Academy in the winter of 2020 and the recent approval of the High Path Regeneration area, which will see the delivery of nearly 1,600 new homes and improved pedestrian/cycle accessibility.
MA’s transport planning and drainage engineers worked with the client, project architects, and planning consultant to influence the design proposals. We attended public consultation and prepared the necessary submission material in support of the planning application including a comprehensive Transport Assessment, Travel Plan, Flood Risk Assessment, and Drainage Strategy. We then worked with both Merton and TfL officers to address their comments regarding servicing strategies and off-site pedestrian accessibility to ensure all parties were happy with the proposals.
It is great to also see Council’s put the resources in place to ensure committees are completed under the present circumstances, allowing new homes to be delivered and public realm to be improved for all.
