We successfully advised Criterion Capital on the redevelopment of the former magistrate’s court. An imposing building located adjacent to Camberwell Library and Camberwell Green, the proposals seek to maximise public realm and green landscaping, and to minimise the carbon footprint of development by utilising the existing building frame. We have worked closely with LB Southwark, TfL and other stakeholders to develop a masterplan that decreases vehicle dominance on surrounding roads, which were overdesigned to serve the magistrate’s court. We have also supported the development of an appropriate construction access and management plan.

The scheme will deliver 134 new homes, a 150-bedroom Zedwell Hotel and 250sqm of new community space.
